About Us

Here are some details about our Club, how we operate, our privacy statement, and by-laws:

Activities

The purpose of our Club is to share activities among members. Activities include hiking, snowshoeing, walks, cycling, skating, skiing, etc. Activities are as wide-ranging as members interests and imaginations. Most activities are day trips, but some extend overnight, or even up to a week.

Planning Activities

Activity planning and coordination is up to all members on a volunteer basis. We periodically provide trip coordinator training. Trip leaders set the terms and conditions of participation in their outing.

General Meetings

We schedule general meetings periodically. Guest speakers are invited on a variety of topics such as hiking trips, natural history, outdoor equipment, safety, and first aid.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting is held in January, usually at Bonsor Recreation Center in Burnaby.

Social Events

We hold social events throughout the year, including pot-luck dinners, picnics, and parties. Some events are formally organized by our social coordinator, some are organized by interested members.
