Hayward Lake

On Saturday morning three hikers met at Burnaby City Hall at 8:30 a.m. After a hour drive we met up with the other two hikers at the trailhead. It was a quiet relaxing hike with only a handful of people on the trail. We noticed that they have done a fair amount of work on the trail and maybe the floating bridge will be repaired by Spring 2026 then we will be able to hike the whole lake . We had our lunch on the new metal canoe pad and one member had a swim .On the way back it was a little hazy. The forest is very lush with lots of moss and fungus.  It was a good leisurely day.  We didnt get back to Burnaby City Hall till 5:00 p.m. and the traffic was good.  We took lots of breaks and enjoyed the company.
