Swimming at Kitsilano

The pool is located by Kitsilano Beach, so the surrounding scenery is beautiful Vancouver. At 137 metres long, it is the longest outdoor saltwater pool in North America. This year may be the last chance to enjoy this outdoor oasis as there are talks on and off about closing this pool. The slight drizzle and clouds may have kept the typical number of people away, but we happily found the pool is kept at 26 degrees. We walked to Granville Island for coffee afterwards and back. It was a very enjoyable early morning experience and we may go back before end of summer. This is Catherine’s favorite outdoor pool and the random messages on chairs at Kits beach made us laugh.
