Tunnel Bluffs hike

What a lovely, sunny day we had. There were 7 hikers who met at 7:30am. We left Burnaby City Hall parking lot and headed to Lion Bay Elementary school parking lot (free parking). We arrived at 8:10am and started our hike toward the trailhead. This is a popular trailhead as Mt. Brunswick, Mt. Harvey, Lions and Tunnel Bluffs all start at the same trailhead.

It was a demanding ascent via service road before we reached Tunnel Bluffs turnoff. Then the trail level out and become a more pleasant and easy hike. Reached our lunch destination, Tunnel Bluffs overlook,  at 11amand were rewarded with a great panoramic sight of Bowen Island and the Howe Sound all the way to Horseshoe Bay and Vancouver Island.

After lunch, we went back via the same route. At 2pm, we reached our parking place and felt great about our outing. Thanks to our drivers: Catherine and Su-Jane to make this outing possible.
