Bowen Lookout Snowshoe Hiking

February 9, 2025 – Gerard Laman On Sunday we went with five BOC members to Cypress Provincial Park to hike with snowshoes to the Bowen Lookout. The trail was perfect for snowshoeing or micro spikes and the weather was not too cold. We first hiked along the Yew Lake and after this we started to climb to reached the Bowen Lookout. We had a great view here of Howe Sound with the Sunshine coast in the distance. We made a small detour to go to the viewpoint for the Two Lions, unfortunately they were hidden in the clouds. After this we descended on the trail back to Yew Lake where we stopped for lunch and after lunch we returned to our car. We were very satisfied with our hike in the snow.
