South Dyke Trail
What a fine day for a winter walk ! Nothing but blue skies and sunshine, as twelve members enjoyed this flat pathway along the south arm of the Fraser River. Mountain views included Vancouver Island, Mount Baker and the North Shore. Starting at No. 2 Road going east, we saw many eagles soaring overhead. At Finn Slough, the group observed the historic houses of this fishing settlement which dates from the 1920s. After the walk, some people explored the village of Steveston. Thanks to Yoko for driving, and for the great photos. Jim McCavour
