Buntzen Lake to Sasamat Lake

Due to two cancellations and heavy rain on Bowen Island Saturday we decided to hike Buntzen Lake to Sasamat Lake on Sunday.  There were only two BOC members. The weather was nice until the last half an hour when rain fell on us.

The forest was fresh and colorful including the wet leaves on the ground.  There was a man snorkelling at the lake and a couple who went in for a dip.  With regret we didnt bring our bathing suits.  I could tell the water wasn't that cold because the couple stayed in for about 10 minutes.  We had lots of conversations and laughs together.  Thanks for driving Yoko and for the delicous carrot cake.  The heated seats driving home were also a bonus when we were a little chilled.  Fellow hikers, time to put the gloves and hat in your backpack.
