Fraser River Walk
After two weeks of Spring Break rainy weather, we were blessed with a sunny cloudy day. Twelve BOC members met up to walk the mighty Fraser River District. We also enjoyed the view from Everett Crowley Park which used to be the old dump and Fraserview Golfcourse. Along the way we encountered a crow party, blue herons, tugboats and a small 100 year old cute dog. We visited the Loretta Lynne historical plaque where she was discovered playing in a chicken coop in 1959. Saw the fishing camp resort Langara 2 which comes down from the northwest tip of Haida Gwaii every winter. Also mention to all BOC about the historical Northern Cafe located at 1640 East Kent Avenue. It is worth a visit. A lovely slow down smell of the roses outing with lots of laughs and friendships. We have to give ourselves a hand for completing 18 kilometers.
